Mike was yet to notice anything off about today, although he should've known there'd be something going on. Days before Christmas, something was going on every damn day. But none of it was getting in the way of Mike taking measurements from the chest Derek had carried back from the preserve for him so he could get started on its transformation into a coffee table.

Nothing was getting in the way of that so far, anyway.
