Party!!!, Purposefully Creepy Mansion, Wednesday Evening

It was Halloween, and after a long four-year break, it finally meant that there was a party at the mansion again. There were Jack O'Lanterns outside lighting the way to the house, and bat cut-outs and balloons in the shape of ghosts and skulls all around the house, and creepy looking candy on the snack table.

And a bloody goblin in the fridge. This time, it had a name tag identifying it as April, because Mike was a sentimental fool.

There were also way too many kind of jello shots. And too many versions of Monster Mash on the Spotify playlist for this party, but at least Mike had made a sign with instructions on how to find the playlist and add songs to it.

A party that had the chance of not going to shit due to the island! Of course Tony was down.

He had gone with an Iron Man colored take on a king costume to play off Steve's. Because he was a nerd. A massive nerd.

"So..." Hardison said, slinging himself into a chair in his homemade Star-Spangled Cap costume, "you're at a party. It's time to think about peer pressure."

"I hope you never give that costume up," Tony replied with a laugh.

Poor, poor Steve.

Why did he even like them?

"You kiddin'?" Hardison asked, aghast. "My Nana crocheted this helmet for me. I'm wearin' to my grave."

Well. Tony had his charms.

"The wings are the best part," Tony admitted.

"They're my favorite, too," Hardison admitted. "That and the gloves. I'm ready to stop crime, reach out to wayward youth, an' fix your plumbin' at the same time."

Tony ooo-ed in appreciation of the gloves before coming to the inevitable conclusion of, "...we need to code this uniform into Mario Kart."

"An' Super Smash Brothers," Hardison added, because like the narration had said, it was an inevitable conclusion. "We won't tell him, either, just hand him a controller."

And then pull up the character once they were done laughing at his reaction to the controller.

"I love this plan," Tony replied. "This is the best plan ever in all the history of plans.

"Have you noticed we always come up with the best plans?" Hardison asked.

Weirdly, so many of them seemed to revolve around trolling Steve. Bizarre, that.

Sometimes their plans also involved parties!

"Well, put two geniuses in a room together..."

"Add jello shots and a remarkably good-natured World War II-era vet..." Hardison added.

Well, good-natured about their cheerful ribbing, anyway. In other circumstanced, Steve could give Eliot a run for intimidation.
