Mostly Just Weird, Not that Creepy Mansion on Phoenix Way, Sunday Evening

Yet another full moon at the mansion! This was going to be completely normal, right? A certain mansion-appropriate version of normal, anyway. Right? That was what Mike was hoping for, although his optimism had been waning lately, for a few reasons.

But right now, he still had snacks and was sprawled on the couch, flipping through channels on the TV. If things were going to get crazy, they weren't there yet.

"Beacon Hills has been pretty quiet," he said. "Just the nightmares."

And he just stayed out of Fandom stuff 'cause it always seemed to resolve itself without death and destruction.

"He spends a lot of time here, though," Derek replied. "Has his own Netflix channel."

"There's a difference between sleeping on the couch and pasting news articles about murder and bits of string on the walls." Would you even want that, Derek?

Well. Maybe. Because then he could be schmoopy about even more things. Creepy things.

God, they were weird.

Derek cleared his throat. "Because he's not comfortable enough for that?"

"Ooor Beacon Hills has been quiet lately?" Stiles gave him a look. "You're not going to take the fact that Stiles hasn't covered your house in murder articles as a sign that he's not into you, are you?"

"Would it be true?" Stiles who could totally answer for the other one.

Stiles rolled his eyes. "Of course not. Jeez, Derek, he probably doesn't do it because it's not his house."

Derek rolled his eyes back. "It's my first relationship that's not a lie," he muttered. Or ending with horrible, traumatizing mercy killing.

And Derek was back to being cute and sappy again. "It's going to be fine, Derek."

Derek nodded. Then looked weirded out by this conversation. "I really hope the other you won't remember this."

"I think him knowing that you were insecure about his murder wall tendencies would be cute," he said. "I know he'd find it cute."

"And would never let me live it down." As was only right, you weirdo.

He smiled. "Without a doubt."

"Stay on the couch." Where he could hear you. Congrats on helping keep him calm when the moon rises, Stiles.

Don't put too much thought into it. It will only make Derek more awkward as his anchor slowly changes.
