The island had quieted down for fall break. The mansion was quiet too.
Well, there'd been some noise earlier while Mike had been working on his first actual furniture order down in the room he'd recently converted into something of a workshop. But now that he was in his bedroom pulling on a fresh t-shirt after a shower, the only sound was his laptop on his desk softly playing a random playlist from Spotify.
His life was super exciting, this Sunday evening.
Maybe he should just fall flat on his face on the bed. That seemed like a plan that might have some worth.
