"Okay!" Raiden told his class. "Today we're going to learn about God's perfect food: pizza. Now, this is basic cooking, so we're not going to make pizza from scratch. That's another class. Instead, we're going to explore the wonderful world of frozen pizza. When it comes to frozen pizzas, the world is your oyster. There are all sorts of options in the grocery store now, and if none of those float your boat you can buy a cheese pizza and add the toppings you want to it. Me, I'm a 'more is more' guy, so I go for a supreme or a meat lover's." Mmmm. Meat. "And if you're not adding stuff, you just read the directions on the packaging and follow them. Easy peasy! Just remember to let your pizza cool for a few minutes after you take it out of the oven, so it's not the same temperature as lava. Now, I've got a handwavey selection of pizzas for you guys to choose from, plus some toppings you can add. Get to pizzaing!" That was a verb, right?

"Good morning, everyone," Anakin said. "Today we're going to talk about what to do when an organization you belong to turns out to be disappointing and morally corrupt."

The Jedi, the Senate, the Republic, Anakin himself...

"And what not to do." Like not becoming a Sith.

These things happen!

Anakin nodded. "Because in the moment, it's hard to remember your training."

"Which might be why it's a good idea to spend all that time meditating." So you didn't accidentally a fascism.

Again, something something peer pressure!

"We'll be starting with meditation," Anakin agreed. "And then we'll get to the horrors."

Ahsoka had somehow never been peer pressured into committing the horrors. "Yes, the horrors."

Because Anakin had been a good teacher?

Anakin had been an excellent teacher. Which made it all the more baffling.

"Everyone on the floor," Anakin said, matching words to action and settling easily onto the ground. "Eyes closed, focusing on your breathing."

"Just let your mind empty of thoughts," Ahsoka added.

Hey there Fandom. What's up, it's me, ya girl Arden Finch, coming at you live on this frigid Tuesday morning. Yeah, it's less cold than last week, but you really don't get any points for clearing that bar when it's basically in Hell.

Anyway, in School, Professor Sims lost his notes for Squirrel!, so we met in the library and did some private learning on our own. Beginning Gourmet Cooking Techniques brought us to Sur La Table to learn about the importance of a good knife in cooking, and Tasks! got basketballs through hoops without using their hands.

No Dorms, but we've got Town. At the Magpie Emporium, Vi was playing on her phone, while Dr. Isley was reading a book at Pick Your Poison. Caleb learned how much huskies love playing in snow at Furnado, and in more animal rights' news, Raiden was refusing to put groundhog on pizzas at Pizza Planet. Rey stopped by for lunch and they discussed what groundhogs might like to eat on a pizza. Regular ones? Who knows. The ones on this island? Who could even say? And at the Trooper Station, Officer McGarrett was shaming the groundhog for its prediction and good for you, Officer. Nobody needs six more weeks of this! Lastly, at the Clinic, Professor James Stark was enjoying a new stained glass nightlight--in the shape of a crab, of course.

Anyway, that's all for me! So talk to you later, island, cause this is ya girl, Arden Finch, signing off and leaving you to enjoy Tyler Braden's DEVIL YOU KNOW. Bye!

Coffees and Stark arrived at the usual time today certainly not many hours late because someone is sick.

The lights were turned down low and there were new lights plugged in around the room when he entered.

"I like it," Stark said, looking around appreciatively. "It's...cozy."

Stabby's current napping state seemed to indicate he agreed.

The clinic was open, the crab was snoozing, and the alien was in.

Steve got off the phone with Duke in Honolulu for a quick check on Junior in his first week at the Academy (so far, Junior was a try-hard who was outstripping everyone in his class and annoying all the slackers. Steve smirked to himself. Good job, Junior), then opened a link that one of Danny's sisters had sent him about all the groundhog days around the world.

(Hawaii didn't do it because it didn't have winter.)

"Snack Town Steve, you're a disgrace to all Steves," Steve told his computer. "We don't need six more weeks of this."

Class had been handwavily asked to meet at Portalocity today, and Hannibal smiled at the students when they arrived. "Good morning. There are several field trips we may take this semester, to experience first-hand some things that might benefit from it."

He paused. "If any of you have difficulties with green light, I suggest you don sunglasses before we embark." He wasn't particularly fond of this world's sun, but the people at the store were very friendly and helpful.

Once anybody who wanted to had put on their glasses, Hannibal waved them through the portal )

"No, we're not--we're not putting groundhog on a pizza. Because they'll be mad at us, that's why. We should be making groundhog-friendly pizzas. What do they eat? Grass? Okay, yeah, we're not doing that. We've got some dandelion greens, maybe I can do something with that...hey, why do we have so much Gorgonzola?"

Today, class would find a paper taped to the classroom door like it was the 20th century: Squirrel class: Meet in the library. - Jonathan Sims

When they got there, they would find Jon looking slightly disheveled and very sheepish.

"So I...um. Well, I got distracted last night and forgot where I put the notes for class, and I couldn't find them this morning, either." You would think an entity of knowledge would be helpful here, but the Eye just seemed to be enjoying Jon's mortification.

"Fortunately, that is more or less on-brand for this class, so we'll call it a learning experience - it's best to keep things in specific places rather than putting them down...somewhere. And today will be a study period. We've got books, computers, CDs, and videos here. Learn something new and come back and tell us at the end of class. Even if all you learn is how they organize the library."

Most of the dogs decided they were done with their morning constitutionals pretty quickly. But then there was the husky, a breed Caleb had not seen in real life before working here.

"Oh you're one of those." Caleb said bemusedly, watching the fluffy winter lover frolic as best it could between wiping out on the frozen tundra that was the play yard.

Harley's visit last weekend had driven it home that Pam should be back to Fandom at least for a while this week. To check on the stock, to do some of the quieter planning work for the swamp upstairs, to just... be in this little place for a little while.

So she showed up to the store in the morning. Opened up the doors, made sure all the plants were watered and, if necessary, given some fertilizer.

She checked the stocks, the little garden outside, the state of the back room.

And then, eventually, settled on the sofa with a hot cup of tea and a book.

Today in the Danger Shop, the students would arrive to their little individual house simulations. Once they stepped outside, they would find a basketball, a basketball hoop, and a task.

Get the basketball through the hoop. You may not touch the basketball with your hands, you may not wear gloves or anything that could be reasonably construed to be gloves. Powers are not allowed. Best time wins. Your time starts now.

So was Gregorith, who was put into a cranky mood thanks to the weather, and Rey was just really rushed yesterday but I'm going to go ahead and blame winter on her behalf.

That's all the notes. That groundhog better get it right today, I swear.

Vi tended not to spend a heap of time on her phone, especially not at work, but she did have a few alerts set up on it, mostly in case there was something she could surprise Steph with. One of which had been going off repeatedly since last night.

Which went a long way to explain why Vi was frowning at her phone in intense concentration as she tilted it (and her head) this way and that.

Rey sort of had a schedule to her day, and today it was impossible to actually keep to it. She woke up on time, somehow took so long to get ready doing the same things she did every day that she got out the door to training later than intended. She'd set an alarm to leave the warehouse with plenty of time to get to work, and yet still ended up being late.

So she was a little frazzled today, and checking the time too much because she didn't understand what it seemed to be doing today.

Oh, here we are again. Tomorrow I suppose we'll see if there will be six more weeks of winter. Which, honestly, seems likely. Don't you agree?

*chittering*

No, I don't think any of you are groundhogs, it's just a normal question. Look, let's just get this going, hmm? Sairis had a morning of cartoons and cereal like any proper college student should, honestly. And tea, it seems. Which is what lured Henry in to try before they engaged in a religious debate. Caleb stopped in for the cartoons as well.

And that's all we have. Go enjoy the last of the weekend, folks.

Gregorith had vacationed in Asgard, had even spent some time in what he thought were the colder areas. But he'd not spent a lot of time in those areas and they never got this cold.

On his way in to work he remembered something from a funny video he'd seen where a woman started out singing a Christmas song and then cut off dramatically when she opened the door to see a wet snowy landscape.

"Well the weather outside is- nope!"

He'd layered up so he wasn't even that uncomfortable on the short walk but the cold made him somewhat paranoid about exposing any part of him to the air. And when he got inside he felt suddenly sleepy and he wondered if it was his eyes thawing out.

In any case he was here, and he was working on de-grouching himself.

When Sairis arrived in the common room, the television was on. There were pictures on it that seemed drawn rather than live people, and they were...definitely odd. Somehow captivating, though.

He made tea absent-mindedly and opted for some of the "cereal" (which still didn't look like it was made from any grain he knew). There was a picture on the box of milk being poured over it, so he tried that. It was sweet, but like the television, oddly good.

So he'd just be eating sugary cereal and watching Saturday morning cartoons I don't care if they're not a thing anymore.

Good morning, everyone, and I do hope you are all tucked up somewhere warm, unlike myself as I am cruelly beset by rodents determined to drag me from my warm bed to read their gossipy little scribblings.

*chittering*

Yes, I do love gossip, but that's not the point. The point is that I was warm and now I am not. Let's get on with this so that I may aspire to be warm again, shall we?

At the school, Overcoming Obstacles played in the snow, then Combat 101 learned how to properly throw a punch, followed by Cupcakes of the World(s) learning of the cupcakes of Indonesia.

I've nothing from the dormitory, and cannot tell if the porg is sad or merely cold. However, in the town, Detective Watts at the Trooper Station received a delivery of flowers courtesy of Mr. Grant. At Needful Things, Dr. Quinn--ooooh! Dr. Quinn came across a possible spell book! I shall have to stop by and see about that. At Stark Tower, Mr. Anthony Stark was hard at work in his laboratory until Mr. Rogers interrupted to remind him of dinner...and that is the last of the notes. Everyone else must have been too cold to do anything.

Now, I am off for a cup of tea and a bit of a huddle under a blanket. Farewell, dear listeners!
