'STACHE BASH, Dapper Mansion on Phoenix Way, Friday Evening

It was Friday evening and as had been promised by the posters earlier this week, that meant party time! The mansion was ready, and the mustaches were ready.

No really, there were theme-appropriate balloons.

All that was needed now were some people to have a good time.

"What'd they take?" Irene asked, genuinely concerned. "And who -- oh, well, we probably don't know that bit yet, huh?"

"One of the most important things I have from home," he said, explaining vaguely just in case. "Piece it together."

"So it's someone who knows about that," Irene said, piecing it together quite well, yes. "Which...well, Hatter, that might be anyone who was at the other party, couldn't it be? But they'd have to know where you keep it. That's the tricky bit."

Solving mysteries was fun!

"No, I'm just good at it," Irene told him, rolling her eyes affectionately. "Sherlock's the most celebrated detective in London, you know. That's how we met. I'm brilliant at solving mysteries."

Not really.

"You don't have security cameras, do you?" Because that'd make it dead easy.

"No," he said sullenly. "I thought this island didn't deal in things like petty theft. Ridiculous."

"I didn't either," Irene agreed, reaching over to pat his arm. Of course, she still had ridiculous security, but that wasn't her doing, either. "We'll find it, darling. Did they take it all?"

"The majority of it," he huffed, shaking his head. "Enough to piss me off."

"We'll get it back, luv," she assured him again. "I doubt they even know what to do with it."

At least, she was betting as much.

"I doubt it'd be that difficult to figure out," he said, taking his hat off and sliding his fingers through his hair. "There were labels and everything."

"But isn't the dosage tricky?" Irene suggested. "They might muck it up, there."

Because that was a fun thought, some kid ODing on Lust or something equally terrifying.

"In any case, if they went to all the trouble of taking it, they're not going to spend their wad on it in just one night. How long ago did it go missing?"
